Terms and Conditions

These terms of use are a legal agreement between our firm, which headquarters are located 8 avenue de l’Ichaca, Saint Jean de Luz, France, n° Siren : 530 701 168, designated as “In Wood We Trust”, and any individual or legal entity willing to place an order via our website www.ateliermonsieurjacques.com, designated as “the customer”.


Welcome to the user agreement for l’atelier de Mr Jacques. In return for allowing you access to this website, we require you to accept the terms and conditions of use set out in this notice. If you are not prepared to agree to these terms then you must immediately leave this website and you may not use or access our services or our site’s facilities.
These terms of use are a legal agreement between us and describe the terms and conditions applicable to your use of our website and the services we offer including the sale of retail goods to consumers. You must read, agree with and accept all of the terms and conditions contained in this agreement.
This agreement includes those terms and conditions expressly set out below and those incorporated by reference. We strongly recommend that you also access and read any other information contained on other pages or websites referred to in this notice, as they may contain further terms and conditions that apply to you.


Customers will place their orders on our website www.ateliermonsieurjacques.com 24/24 and 7/7. An order takes 7 steps. Once the selection is made, and validated, they shall:

  • Clearly identify selected goods using options as stipulated on our website Indicate quantity of products required if stock exceeds 1
  • Get identification, through personal e-mail address and password, and give usual required information for on line inscriptions
  • Indicate necessary delivery information This includes accurate delivery address (building, floor, digital code, etc..)
  • Accept these terms and conditions, checking the square “ I have read these terms of use and do accept them”
  • Chosen mode of delivery
  • Chosen method of payment

Once this method of payment is chosen, customers shall pay using our CMC – CIC secure system, which will proceed and complete transaction. In case of payment by check, or credit transfer, customers will have to confirm their orders after payment.

An e-mail of confirmation will be sent automatically once the order is completed, as long as this address is valid. This is the customer’s liability to make sure the information provided is correct. We can take no responsibility for any delivery problems arising from incomplete or incorrect address details supplied by you. In this case, customers shall bear the cost of re-shipping.

You can, at every time, follow your order through the heading “my account” on our website www.ateliermonsieurjacques.com. Treatment of your order, state of shipping, or delivery (this last item depends on mediums used by the haulage company. Thus, we will take no responsibility if the information provided by them is incorrect.

Prices ’currency, listed in the product’s index is Euro, duty free, no VTA, as stipulated in article 293 B from IGC. They do not include expenses such as treatment of your order, shipping, and delivery. In Wood We Trust has the right to modify those prices anytime, except once an order is completed, of course. Products are property of In Wood We Trust as long as the whole payment is not completed.

Methods of payment

Payment is required as soon as the order is completed. Three modes of payment are available:

  • Credit card : Carte Bleue, Visa, and Eurocard-Mastercard via our CMC – CIC system , assuring you that our site is secure and your identity has been authenticated to the industry’s highest standard; SSL3 (Secure Socket Layer) allows all personal information, such as your credit card number, to be encrypted as it travels from one designated place to the next. Once received, the information is unencrypted and processed in the same way as a credit card transaction placed via the telephone. At no time is your credit card number stored on our website or in our online database.
  • Check, as long as the customer’s bank account is in France. Once the order is completed, the receipt must be printed. In Wood We Trust whereabouts are mentioned, and the check will be sent with the receipt, payable to the order of In Wood We Trust. If your order’s amount exceeds 150 Euros, checks shall be issued by the bearer living at the delivery place’s address. Checks will be cashed as we get them. Orders will be dealt with as soon as cashing is confirmed by the bank.
  • Credit transfer

Customers make sure they have necessary authorizations for chosen method of payment and are free to do so, when they complete their order.


Countries featured in our shipping list, using Colissimo via La Poste (no signature required).:

  • France (including Corsica), Monaco, Andorra
  • French Overseas territories: Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyane, Réunion, Mayotte, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, Saint-Martin, Saint-Barthélemy (La Poste Zone OM 1).
  • European Union, Switzerland, Norway (La Poste International Zone A)

Orders are treated within 3 week days, following reception of your order and payment. You’ll be given a number allowing you to follow through your delivery, as soon as we ship it. Usual delays for France go from 48 to 72 hours
In case of absence at delivery time, you shall get a receipt in order to collect your goods at the nearest Post office (packages are kept 2 weeks). If you fail to collect your goods, they will be sent back to In Wood We Trust, which will refund the customer, except for shipping and delivery fees.
Fees are figured out regarding weight and size of your order. Postage and packaging bare included.
For any delivery exceeding size or weight authorized by la Poste, please contact us before placing your order.

In Wood We Trust reminds you that you must check your goods in presence of the delivery man, in order to detect any fault, before its company, and before us, within 2 days of the delivery.
Once your goods are accepted, they are considered as such, and no contestation will be taken into account.
Delivery times are subject to stock availability, and to possible delays due to credit card authorization, compliance with customs controls and other factors outside our control.
We can take no responsibility for any delivery problems arising from incomplete or incorrect address details supplied by you.

Records and proofs

In Wood We Trust will record orders and bills on a liable and long lasting medium, which will provide accurate copies, as required in article 1369-4 of our civil code. Those processed records will be considered as proofs of communication, orders, payments, and transactions between both parties.

Returns and Exchanges

Within the limits of sales from a distance (without physical interaction between both parties), the client benefits from the L121-20 article of French law, regarding consumption, allowing a 7 days’ delay of withdrawal. We will offer a refund or exchange (if stock available) on any unworn/unused goods (faulty or otherwise) within 30 days of dispatch. The date your items were dispatched by us will be detailed in the Shipment Confirmation email sent to your nominated email address on dispatch : contact[at]ateliermonsieurjacques.com. Refunds must be made through the website, following the returns procedure documented on the “Returns Form” supplied inside your original order. Please note that you have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the items while they are in your possession, and if you fail to do so we may have a right to make a claim against you for compensation. We recommend therefore that you wrap your items safely and securely to avoid damage in transit back to In Wood We Trust.
You must return the goods to us - please try to return items in or with their original packaging with their labels intact. Damaged or incomplete goods will not be refunded, nor exchanged.


Most goods sold by In Wood We Trust are second hand objects; they may present traces or scratches, and are sold as so, with no warranty. The pictures on our website are as accurate as possible, but cannot guarantee an exact similarity to the product. Therefore they have no contractual value.
Our products, sometimes made several decades ago, aren’t always respectful of present security norms. They are exclusively decorative items and can present a risk when not used as such. The client is perfectly aware that In Wood We Trust is not the manufacturer of these products, regarding act n°98-389 of 05/19/1998, and liability in case of defective goods.

Therefore, if damages occurred because of a product, only the manufacturer’s liability shall be considered by the client. Furthermore, we remind you that products, services, and information offered by In Wood We Trust must not escape the adults’ watchfulness, at every time.
The laws of your country may be different from French law and there may be additional legal requirements for you to use our website or services. You must comply with all applicable local and international laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations regarding your use of our website and services.
We cannot monitor the laws of every country and it is your responsibility to ensure that your use of our website and services is legal.

Limitation of Liability

This Agreement shall limit our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, nor lack of means. However, we have no liability of any sort (including for negligence) for the acts of providers of telecommunications services or for faults in or failures of their networks and equipment, as well as the use of the Internet. Neither have we any liability regarding damages resulting from uses of the goods for other purposes than decoration.

Intellectual property

Every element of this website are and will stay intellectual and exclusive property of “In Wood We Trust”. No one will be authorized to copy, use, load up, entirely or partly, visual or written elements.
Every kind of link is strictly prohibited, and will take a written agreement from In Wood We Trust.

Computer science and freedom

Information collected by In Wood We Trust during your order are only treated to allow your transaction to be completed. Data is confidential and In Wood We Trust commits itself to keep it so, and will not communicate its customers whereabouts.
This agreement sets out the entire understanding and agreement between us.

As stipulated in 01/06/1978’s law, modified in 2004, you have the right to access and modify your personal data, which you can exert by mail to contact[at]ateliermonsieurjacques.com.

You can as well, for legitimate reasons, refuse treatment of your personal data.
In Wood We Trust informs its customers that the handling of nominative and personal information was the subject of notification before the CNIL (registered under n° 1490079)


These terms and conditions are subjects to French Law. If contentions occurred, the cases shall be brought before Parisian court, as for appeals and multi defendants.
